2021 Goodyear 400 Race Predictions

The NASCAR Cup Series continues today with the 2021 Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. Read on below to see my prediction for who will win the race, as well as my top 10, dark horse, and driver to fade predictions.

Winner: Kevin Harvick- Harvick has raced well at Darlington over the years, finishing in the top 5 in 9 of his last 10 starts at the track, including 3 wins. Harvick has also shown recent speed, finishing in the top 5 in back to back starts, including a runner up finish last week at Kansas. Harvick is due for a win this season and I believe that he will find himself in victory lane today.

Top 10: Kyle Larson- Larson has found success at Darlington in his young career, with 3 top 3 finishes and 5 top 10 results in 6 career starts. Larson has struggled of late, finishing outside the top 10 in 4 of his last 5 starts, but I believe he will right the ship today and bring home another top 10 result.

Dark horse: Erik Jones- Datlington has been one of Jones’ best tracks, with a win, 4 top 5’s, and 6 top 10’s in 6 career start. Jones has struggled at times this season, but has also shown potential, with 2 top 10’s and 5 top 20 finishes. With the success Jones has shown at Darlington, I believe a top 15 is certainly within reach.

Driver to fade: Ryan Blaney- Darlington has been a thorn in Blaney’s side in his young career, with no top 10’s in 8 career starts and a best finish of 13th. I expect the trend to continue and expect Blaney to finish outside the top 10 for the 9th time.
