The NASCAR Cup Series continues tonight with the running of the Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart at EchoPark Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. EchoPark Speedway, formerly known as Atlanta Motor Speedway, is a 1.54 mile quad-oval with 28 degrees of banking in the turns. Due to the high-banked turns, we will see tight pack racing tonight, where drafting and making the right moves at the right time will be key to victory. The question is who will be the one to make all the right moves, avoid the carnage, and end up in victory lane?
Drafting tracks have been a problem for the #11 team in the Next Gen era. While they always show speed and run up front, they seem to always get caught up in a wreck and finish poorly. Coming in as the points leader, we predict that the points lead will shrink as Denny Hamlin’s bad luck on drafting tracks will continue tonight with a finish outside the top 20 after being caught up in a wreck once again.
Legacy Motor Club has had a great mid-season push for the last couple months, showing up with more speed than they had early in the year. While the Toyotas qualified poorly, they’ll show plenty of race pace. Starting 24th tonight, we predict that John Hunter Nemechek will work his way up, avoid the chaos, and bring home a top 15 finish.
Ryan Blaney has been the lone, consistent bright spot for the Ford camp so far this year, sitting in 3rd place in points. This season, he has one win, three top 5’s, and 14 top 10s. Starting from the Pole tonight, we predict that Ryan Blaney will be in the mix all night and bring home his 15th top 10 of the season.
It is no secret that 2026 has been a rough year for the Fords in general, especially the #22 team. With zero wins, two top 5’s, and five top 10’s, the three-time champion finds himself 16 points below The Chase cutline entering tonight’s race. With a great second place qualifying effort behind his teammate, Ryan Blaney, the Fords have great, single car speed. We predict that Joey Logano will get his first win of 2026 tonight and leave EchoPark above The Chase cutline.
