The NASCAR Cup Series continues today with the running of the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. Kansas Speedway is a 1.5 mile tri-oval located in Kansas City, Kansas. First opened in 2001, Kansas is a great track for the Next Gen car, with multiple lanes to race on. Kansas has a history of great finishes, including in this race last year, where Kyle Larson beat Chris Buescher by 0.001 second, registering the closest finish in NASCAR history.

Shane van Gisbergen, as expected, is having a tough time in his first, full-time season in the Cup Series. Outside of his 6th place finish at COTA, he has finished 20th or worse in all of the other 10 races. While we fully expect him to be a serious threat on the road courses, Kansas will be a challenge for him. We predict the 2025 struggles will continue for SVG, and he will finish outside of the top 25 today.

It is no secret that 2025 is off to an awful start for Brad Keselowski. Through the first 11 races, he has 0 top 10’s, 4 DNF’s and sits 32nd in points. Starting 36th today, they will have an uphill battle to get into contention, but they looked to have good long run speed in practice. We predict Brad will methodically work his way through the field today and come home with a top 12 finish.

Chris Buescher once again lost out to Kyle Larson in Kansas yesterday, qualifying 2nd for today’s race. While he only has one top 10 at Kansas in six Next Gen races, he showed last year he’s very capable of running up front and contending for wins here. We predict Chris Buescher will have another solid showing today in Kansas and is a lock for a top 10.

Kyle Larson and the #5 team are always the ones to watch going to 1.5 mile tracks, and today will be no different. In the Next Gen car at Kansas, Larson has one win, four top 5’s and five top 10’s in six races. Starting on the Pole today and looking great in practice, we predict Kyle Larson will notch his 3rd victory of the 2025 season in Kansas.
