2023 ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP Predictions

The ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP is back this week at the Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club. This is a 72 hole event with no cut, so everybody will be around for the weekend. This course is a par 70 that can be stretched close to 7,200 yards. Keegan Bradley, the defending champion, is back in the field, as well as the tournament favorite Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler, and native Hideki Matsuyama, who hasn’t played as of late because of an injury. Look for all the top names to contend this weekend, and you can expect some fireworks during the final round!

Satoshi Kodaira, albeit does have a win on tour, but has not had much success as of late, however. He’s missed multiple cuts, including recently at the Sanderson Farms Championship. I would expect his poor play to continue this week at the ZOZO!

Dark Horse:

Min Woo Lee has been a solid player ever since he got on tour. He’s made his last 6 cuts on the PGA Tour, and his name seems to pop up more and more during big events. Min Woo has consistently been gaining strokes off the tee, and if he gets his putter rolling, I truly believe he can contend this weekend!

Top 10:

Keegan Bradley quietly put together a great season on the PGA Tour. He won the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP last year, as well as the Travelers Championship. Keegan always seems to elevate his game in big events, and I believe that will happen again this week. Keegan consistently gains strokes in most categories, but his biggest weakness has always been with the putter. If he makes a few this weekend, I expect him to be in the hunt once again!

Winner:

He may not be a household name, but Cam Davis is a very good player on the PGA Tour. He’s coming off a top 10 finish at the Shriners, and seems to be in good form leading into the ZOZO. Cam gained strokes in every category except for around the green at the Shriners. I look for him to clean that up, make some putts this weekend, and get back into the winners circle!
