The PGA Tour continues on this week as it visits Muirfield Village Golf Club for the 2022 the Memorial Tournament Presented By Workday. Read on below to see our prediction for who will win the tournament, as well as our predictions for who will finish in the top 10, our dark horse, and our player to fade.

RIO GRANDE, PUERTO RICO – MARCH 04: Ryan Brehm and his wife and caddie Chelsey Brehm prepare to play a shot on the second hole during the second round of the Puerto Rico Open at Grand Reserve Golf Club on March 04, 2022 in Rio Grande, . (Photo by Stacy Revere/Getty Images)

Player to Fade: Ryan Brehm- Since his surprise victory earlier this season at the Puerto Rico Open, Brehm has done very little since then, with 1 top 15 and 6 missed cuts in 8 starts. Making his first career start at the Memorial, Brehm’s game is leaking from every which angle, as he is currently averaging -2.537 Strokes Gained: Total. In a field stacked with the game’s best, Brehm is a lock to miss the cut.

PALM HARBOR, FLORIDA – MARCH 19: Davis Riley of the United States reacts to his birdie on the 17th green during the third round of the Valspar Championship on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club on March 19, 2022 in Palm Harbor, Florida. (Photo by Julio Aguilar/Getty Images)

Dark Horse: Davis Riley- Riley is 100% the hottest player on the PGA Tour right now, with 5 straight top 15 finishes, including 3 top 5 finishes during that stretch. Riley is making his debut in this event, and even though he will face a bit of a learning curve, there aren’t many weaknesses in his game right now. Sometimes you gotta ride the hot hand and that’s what we are doing with Riley this week, as we predict that he will bring home another top 20 finish.

Top 10: Patrick Cantlay- The defending champion, Cantlay has had a solid 2021-22 campaign, with 1 win, 2 runner-up finishes, and 6 top 10’s in 11 starts. Cantlay has done very well in his career at Muirfield Village, with 2 wins, 3 top 5’s, 4 top 10’s, and 0 missed cuts in 6 events at this course. Cantlay may be coming off of a missed cut at the PGA Championship, but we predict that he will get the good vibes going again and bring home another top 10 finish this week.

Winner: Jon Rahm- The #2 ranked player in the Official Worls Golf Rankings, Rahm has put together a consistent campaign, with 1 win, 5 top 10’s, 8 top 25’s, and just 1 missed cut in 12 starts. Rahm is no stranger to success in this event, winning it in 2020 and being 1 round away from potentially defending his title last year, as he had a 6 stroke lead after 3 rounds and had to withdraw after testing positive for COVID-19. Rahm is currently ranked 1st in Strokes Gained: Off-The-Tee and Strokes Gained: Total and is getting dialed in for a strong summer run, which is why we predict that Jon Rahm will come full circle this week and bring home the W at the Memorial Tournament!
