2022 Charles Schwab Challenge Predictions

By Amanda Cencer

The PGA Tour continues on this week as it visits Colonial Country Club for the Charles Schwab Challenge. Read on below to see our prediction for who will win the tournament, as well as our predictions for who will finish in the top 10, our dark horse, and our player to fade.

Player to fade: Tony Finau- While Tony Finau is a great tour player, this is the week we start to see him fade away. With his last couple showings being unimpressive, Tony will continue to fall down the leaderboard. The Charles Schwab has too many top players fighting for the title, which leaves Tony Finau out of contention.

Dark Horse: Gary Woodland- Although the odds are against him, Gary Woodland should have a good showing at the Charles Schwab event.  His rounds in the PGA Championship showed the potential of him on the rise. If he can make his up and downs, he will surprise us all with a strong finish. Keeping his bogeys in check will be the deciding factor this week.

Top 10: Kevin Na- With Kevin Na being a hit or miss, I think his ball striking will prevail enough to make a top ten finish. The course this week is demanding with approach shots and Kevin Na is ready to climb up the leaderboard.

Winner: Jordan Spieth- With Spieth coming off a hot streak in his last couple of showings, he is the perfect candidate to win this week. With a win and 2nd place finish in the bag, he’s primed and ready to go. Spieth’s short game will suit him very well on this track and hopefully his nerves stay calm to clutch a win this week.
