2021 Sanderson Farms Championship Predictions

The PGA Tour continues this week as it visits the Country Club of Jackson for the 2021 Sanderson Farms Championship. Read on below to see my prediction for who will win the tournament, as well as my predictions for who will finish in the top 10, my dark horse, and my player to fade.

Winner: Will Zalatoris- Zalatoris put together a solid Rookie of the Year campaign last season, with 8 top 10’s and 14 top 25’s in 25 starts. Zalatoris picked back up where he left off last season to kick off the new season last week, gaining 2.282 Strokes from Tee-To-Green enroute to a T-11 finish at the Fortinet Championship. Although he missed the cut here last year, Zalatoris is currently firing on all cylinders, going a combined -34 over his last 3 starts. With all that said, I predict that Zalatoris will bring home his first career victory at the Sanderson Farms Championship!

Top 10: Mito Pereira- The pride of Santiago, Chile, Pereira has been on quite the heater since earning a 3 win promotion from the Korn Ferry Tour in June, with 3 top 10’s and just 2 missed cuts in 7 starts, as well as a T-4 finish at The Olympics. Pereira is coming off a 3rd place showing at the Fortinet Championship and I predict that he will find the top 10 again this week.

Dark Horse: Seamus Power- Power had a fantastic run this past summer, with 6 straight top 20 finishes capped off by his first career victory in the Barbasol Championship. Cooling off slightly since the win, Power brings a solid track record to the Country Club of Jackson, with 2 top 20’s and 3 made cuts in 4 career starts. Power is definitely a player to watch for this week and I predict that he will be inside the top 20 by week’s end.

Player to Fade: Tyler Duncan- Duncan has been in a slump of late, missing 7 of his last 12 cuts and finishing no better than T-43 during that stretch. In 3 starts in this tournament, Duncan has missed the cut all 3 times and has only broken 70 once in those 6 rounds. Duncan is a lock to miss the cut this week.
