A new PGA Tour season kicks off this week as it visits the Silverado Resort North Course for the 2021 Fortinet Championship. Read on below to see my prediction for who will win the tournament, as well as my predictions for who will finish in the top 10, my dark horse, and my player to fade.
Winner: Kevin Na- Not to be lost in the fray of Cantlay and Rahm, Kevin Na has been on quite the heater, with 4 top 10’s in his last 6 starts, including runner-up finishes at the John Deere Classic and Wyndham Championship. Silverado Resort and Spa North Course has played to Na’s liking over the years, with 2 top 10’s in 4 starts, including a playoff loss to Emiliano Grillo here in 2016. Playing with some incentive after being snubbed from the Ryder Cup, Kevin Na will be lifting the trophy on Sunday!
Top 10: Jon Rahm- Rahm has arguably played the best golf of his career of late, with 4 top 4 finishes in his last 5 starts, including a win at the US Open and a narrow miss at the Tour Championship. Rahm has had past success in this event as well, finishing T-15 in his lone appearance here in 2017. With the way he’s been playing, a top 10 is a lock for Rahm.
Dark Horse: Emiliano Grillo- Winner of this tournament in 2015, Grillo has missed the cut here just 1 time in his 6 starts since then. Although he hasn’t been lighting up the leaderboards lately, I believe Grillo can get some good mojo going this week and bring home a top 30 finish.

Player to Fade: Wyndham Clark- Clark has been in quite the slump of late, missing each of his last 7 cuts. Things haven’t fared much better for Clark in this event, as he has missed the cut here each of the last 2 years. Clark is a lock for a missed cut.
