The PGA Tour continues on to Ohio this week with the 2021 Memorial Tournament Presented by Nationwide. Read on below to see my prediction for who will win the tournament, as well as my predictions for who will finish in the top 10, my dark horse, and my player to fade.
Winner: Jordan Spieth- Spieth has been having a nice resurgence this season, with a win and 8 top 10’s in his last 11 starts. Spieth has had modest success at Muirfield Village, with 5 top 20 results in 8 career starts. Muirfield is a tough test around the greens, and with Spieth being 8th in Strokes Gained: Around-The-Green, I believe his short game prowess will make him a two time winner this season come Sunday.
Top 10: Hideki Matsuyama- Matsuyama has had a career year by winning The Masters and brings great form into one of his better tracks, where he has a win and 2 additional top 6 results in 7 starts. I predict Matsuyama will be in the top 10 by week’s end.

Dark Horse: Kyle Stanley- Stanley has been playing well of late, finishing in the top 30 in 4 of his last 6 starts, including a T-8 finish at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Muirfield Village has been one of Stanley’s better tracks, as he has 3 top 6 finishes here in 7 starts. Based on his recent play, a top 20 finish is certainly doable.
Player to Fade: Jim Herman- Herman has been as cold as they get, missing 8 of his last 10 cuts and has missed the cut at this course in 3 out of 5 starts. Another missed cut is in the cards for Herman.
