The PGA Tour season continues this week as it visits the Country Club of Jackson for the 2022 Sanderson Farms Championship. Read on below to see our prediction for who will win the tournament, as well as our top 10, dark horse, and player to fade predictions.

Player to Fade: Seamus Power- Seamus has been falling off track with the last few events, like The Open and the St. Jude Championship. While he is a good player, he just hasn’t been preforming like you would expect from him. I think this will be another week where he just doesn’t shine. He is coming off the BMW Championship, where he had a couple rounds well above par.

Dark Horse: Nick Watney- Nick played solid at this event last year, almost winning it. He is a great player when he can get out of his own way and I think Watney is underrated. He likes the setup here and seems to know where to place his approach shots. Going into a tournament knowing the year before you played well has its definite advantages. A good mind space and Watney might just surprise us all.

Top 10: Sahith Theegala- Sahith had an impressive showing last year at this event with a top 10. He was also able to take the number six spot at the Fortinet Championship. He has been playing solid golf and hanging in the top 20 for quite a few tournaments. Maybe I am biased, but this Pepperdine Grad will make a great showing this weekend.

Winner: Taylor Montgomery- While Taylor is probably one of my favorite Korn Ferry Tour players, he offers a lot to this, for lack of a better term, “lacking,” field here at Sanderson Farms. If he can get his drives and putts working at the same time, he will be unstoppable. This course sets up well for him and his last couple of starts have been great. Taylor has a chance to dominate this week.
