The PGA Tour continues on this week as it visits TPC Twin Cities for the 3M Open. Read on below to see our prediction for who will win the tournament, as well as our top 10, dark horse, and player to fade predictions.

Player to Fade: Jason Bohn- A 2-time winner on the PGA Tour, Bohn has done little of note in recent years, missing the cut in all 4 events he has teed it up in this season and last earning a top 10 finish on tour in 2015. Bohn has only had 2 rounds in the 60s this season on tour and the 3M Open is an event where players traditionally go low in score. Like many players on tour lately, Bohn is nothing more than another player to fill out the field and is a lock to miss the cut.

Dark Horse: Brice Garnett- Sitting in 155th place in the FedEx Cup Standings, Garnett has not had much success on tour this season, with just 1 top 10 and 3 top 25’s in 26 starts. Nevertheless, there is room for hope. Garnett has played quite well at TPC Twin Cities in the past, with 1 top 20 and 3 top 30 finishes in 3 career starts here. Garnett is coming off of a T-16 finish last week at the Barracuda Championship and finished T-15 at the AT&T Byron Nelson earlier this season, an event where you have to go quite low to legitimately contend. A win is quite unlikely, but we predict Garnett will capitalize on his past success here and bring home his 4th top 25 finish of the season.

Top 10: Sahith Theegala- Theegala is having a stellar rookie season on tour, with 2 top 5’s, 5 top 10’s, and just 5 missed cuts in 27 starts. Although Theegala missed the cut here in his lone prior start in 2020, he excels in several scoring areas that will be key to success this week, ranking 4th in Total Eagles and leading the tour this season in Total Birdies, with 363 and counting. His putting isn’t particular sharp, ranking 144th in Strokes Gained: Putting, but if he can get the putter rolling, there’s no reason why Theegala can’t pick up another top 10 finish this week.

Winner: Davis Riley- Another rookie on tour this season, Riley is putting together a solid campaign, with 1 top 5, 6 top 10’s, and 9 top 25’s in 24 starts. Like Theegala above, Riley is another player who can go very low very quickly, ranking 32nd in Total Eagles and 5th in Total Birdies. Lastly, Riley is ranked 34th in Putts Per Round, averaging just 28.50 putts each round. TPC Twin Cities is a golf course set up for players to attack it and post low scores and we predict that Riley will go the lowest this week and pick up his first PGA Tour win at the 3M Open!
