2022 Zurich Classic of New Orleans Predictions

By Kevin Stryker

The PGA Tour continues this week as it visits TPC Louisiana for the 2022 Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Read on below to see Kevin Stryker’s predictions for who will win the tournament, as well as his predictions for who will finish in the top 10, his dark horse, and his player to fade.

Winner: Collin Morikawa & Viktor Hovland- Talk about a match made in Heaven. The excellent pairing of Morikawa and Hovland, two of the world’s best at the present time, will be a formidable challenge to the rest of the field.  I predict that the two will compliment each other’s style of play and take home the win this week at the Zurich!

Top 10: Patrick Cantlay & Xander Schauffele- This pairing appears to be the other big-name draw of the field.  Given Cantlay’s excellent play in the recent RBC Heritage event, and the chemistry that the two have off the course, I expect this pairing to finish well within the Top 10 teams in the field.

Dark Horse: Justin Rose & Henrik Stenson- It is hard to imagine that this pairing of established pros have odds of 66-1 (per BetMGM).  Would have been a different story five or six years ago.  Could be a massive payday if they come out swinging and shock the field.

Team to Fade: Arjun Atwal & Lucas Herbert- Never heard of either of these fellows.  I wish them the best.  300-1 at BetMGM.
