The PGA Tour continues this week as it visits Sea Island Golf Club for the 2021 RSM Classic. Read on below to see my prediction for who will win the tournament, as well as my predictions for who will finish in the top 10, my dark horse, and my player to fade.
Winner: Scottie Scheffler- Scheffler has been on quite the stretch of late, with 5 top 10’s and just 1 missed cut in his last 12 starts, including back to back top 5 finishes at the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba and the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Houston Open. Scheffler finished T-5 here 2 years ago and his game is firing on all cylinders right now. All of this leads to a first career win for Scottie Scheffler in the RSM Classic come Sunday!
Top 10: Kevin Kisner- Kisner has quickly become Mr. Sea Island, with 1 win, 4 top 5’s, and 5 top 10’s in 10 career starts in this event. Kisner won the Wyndham Championship earlier this year, but has gone relatively cold since then, with a best finish of T-54 in his 4 starts since. Nonetheless, this is one of Kisner’s best tracks and he will bring home another top 10 finish this week.
Dark Horse: Alex Noren- Noren has quietly been playing some good golf of late, with 3 top 10’s and 5 top 20’s in his last 10 starts. Noren brings some solid form into Sea Island, where he has finished in the top 20 in both of his starts here. Noren could be a serious threat to win this weekend, but I predict that his good play will reward him with another top 20 finish.
Player to Fade: Joseph Bramlett- Bramlett has been in quite the slump of late, missing each of his last 4 cuts. Bramlett has not fared much better in this tournament either, missing the cut here in all 3 starts. Bramlett is an easy fade to miss the cut this week.
