2021 Travelers Championship Predictions

The PGA continues on to TPC River Highlands this week with the 2021 Travelers Championship. Read on below to see my prediction for who will win the tournament, as well as my predictions for who will finish in the top 10, my dark horse, and my player to fade.

Winner: Bryson DeChambeau- Bryson has put together an amazing season, with 2 wins, 6 top 10’s, and just 1 missed cut in 15 starts. Dechambeau has improved his finishing position in each of his 5 starts in this tournament and has a streak of 3 consecutive top 10’s here, with just one round worse than 68 during that stretch. Bryson is going to be looking to bounce back after the back nine implosion at the U.S. Open last week and I predict he will bounce back in a big way with a victory on Sunday.

Top 10: Joaquin Niemann- Neimann has been stringing together a solid season, with 4 top 10’s and 9 top 25’s to go with just one missed cut in 19 starts. TPC River Highlands has been very good to Niemann in his brief career, with a 5th place finish here in 2019 and 7 of his 8 rounds being in the 60’s in 2 career starts. Niemann is a lock for a top 10, but don’t be surprised if he’s contending late on Sunday.

Dark horse: Doc Redman- Redman has struggled at times this year, but has quietly been putting together a strong run, making the cut in 5 of his last 6 starts, including a pair of top 10’s capped off by a runner-up finish at the Palmetto Championship at Congaree. Redman finished T-11 last year in his tournament debut and there’s no reason to believe he can’t bring home a top 25 finish this weekend.

Player to fade: Michael Kim- Kim has struggled throughout the season, missing 15 cuts, withdrawing twice, and finishing no better than 53 in the 5 events where he has made the cut. Kim is an easy fade and I predict a missed cut for him this week.
