2021 Genesis Invitational Predictions

The PGA Tour carries on this week to Riviera Country Club for the 2021 Genesis Invitational. Read on to see my prediction for who will win the tournament, as well as my top 10, dark horse, and player to avoid predictions.

Winner: Dustin Johnson- It’s hard to pick against the hot hand. Dustin Johnson has been playing the best golf of his entire career these past several months. In his last 10 worldwide starts, he has had 4 wins, 3 runner ups, and no finishes outside the top 12. When you’re playing as well as he is, he’s tough to pick against. Dustin Johnson will win the 2021 Genesis Invitational.

Top 10: Xander Schauffele- The field is stacked this week and there are so many great players playing great golf. With that being said, Xander Schauffele has been playing lights out as well of late, with 4 runner up finishes and 6 top 5 results in his last 8 starts. It’s only a matter of time before Schauffele ends his winless streak and he is certain to be in the top 10 yet again this week.

Dark Horse: Corey Conners- Conners has quietly been playing some solid golf this season, with 7 top 25 results on the year, including top 10 finishes at the Masters, the RSM Classic, and the Zozo Championship. With so many studs in the field this week, Conners will be fighting for position, but I believe he can add another top 25 finish to his season.

Player to Fade: Rickie Fowler- I know I picked Fowler to fade last week, but his game is all over the place right now. Fowler is coming off of back to back missed cuts, has not played in this event since 2014, and will be playing another venue that will quickly expose the flaws in your game if you’re not firing on all cylinders. All this adds up to a missed cut for Fowler.
